Located in the most scenic part of the Black Hills along Iron Mountain Road South of
Rapid City off Hwy 40, Lakota Lake Encampment is scarcely visible amidst the forest. But its inconspicuous
appearance belies the many pleasures of this Horse Community.
Lots are 1-2 acres, with 80 private acres, 50 preserve acres and surrounded by 1,200,000 forest acres. In
addition to paved roads and underground electric lines, Lakota Lake Encampment offers a host of unique
amenities.
There’s a private lodge, a guest house for visitors, personal
horse barns (if requested), even an in-mountain wine
cave. Indeed, this Horse Community is virtually self-contained. You can stroll to the planned Iron Mountain
Trading Company for your morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. Saddle up for a day of trail riding. Catch
your
lunch at Lakota Lake, or let someone else do the cooking
with a quiet dinner at the Rendevouz Lodge. We’ve even
arranged for cleaning and maintenance, concierge and
home rental services.
